I really like the album as well, but a few people have said their earlier stuff isn't so good.

I only know of a few of their early single releases (Sunburn springs to mind) which aren't a patch on this album.

 

Don't know enough about their early stuff to form an opinion really.

Was quite pleased with my performance - not bad for a beginner!!

You definitely have potential for a good player, i.e. a good vocabulary, once you've brushed up on your tactics you should be regularly into the 300's

Zeal- I'm glad you like the new Muse album, their new single 'Hysteria' is amazing. If I was a bloke, I'd get a hard-on everytime I heard that riff!

 

I have Muse's first album, and if you listen to that and compare it to their second album, Origin of symmetry, you can see how they've developed as a band. The first album is more simplistic and less complex then the latest 2 albums, (I'm making this judgement based on the singles released from albums 2 and 3 as I don't have those albums), which tend to be more progressive and forward altough Showbiz (their first album)still has some good tracks. I think the second album has their cover of the Nina Simone track 'Feelin' good' which is fantastic and the single 'Plug-in baby'. Is Hyper Music on Absolution?

I got Muses second album, I'll have to dig it out and play it as I'm sure I brought it with about 10 other CD's and whenever that happens you never end up listening to half of them!
