Always nice to beat Kettering.... Two tough games in the space of a few days with our old 'friends' Dunstable due on Saturday, a couple of wins would be amazing but would settle for picking up some points.

If we want a decent away support might be a good idea to get an answer asap.

Just back from sycob. Grounds man was there working on the pitch.

There was no standing water on the pitch and not raining when I left!

Would be surprised if this game was postponed.

3-1 loss with Nathan Webb scoring for us.

 

Putman had a goal controversially ruled out for offside which would have brought us back to 2-3 and would have given us the momentum going into the final 20-25 minutes.

 

There was some poor defending from us leaving some holes in our defence which Kettering exploited well. Almost all three of Ketterings goals were preventable.

 

overall Kettering deserved the win and you would have to say our chances of sneaking in the playoffs are gone now and we probably wont have much to play for during the rest of the season.

 

 

Good to see Paul Coyne get a few minutes at the end and hopefully with Rumbold coming off early today Coyne will get some more minutes and chance to prove himself in the next couple of games.

 

I would also like to see Gokmen get more chances as every team pretty much now knows we will have Warren and Puts out wide and they know how to deal with them.

We were beaten tonight by the team which did not make any defensive errors and took their chances when they arose.

Thought we were truely awful tonight in practically every facet of the game. There was the brief illusion at 1-2 of getting back into it but in the end I thought 1-3 really flattered us. Ball retention was appalling with possession being turned over far too easily. I had been thinking recently that we were beginning to look a lot more comfortable at this level but tonight I thought we were outclassed by an average Kettering team. No disrespect intended. Anyway, just my opinion and already looking forward to the Dunstable game.
