Beano_ATMFC
Especially after the postponement at C&HU on Saturday, eh Krooner? That must have been massively frustrating for everyone at Camberley. Chalky Lane must have one of the most ironic names in football - right up there with Tonbridge Angels (ha!) - as if Chalky Lane really were "chalky", the club wouldn't have the problems getting games on that they do. This is about the third season running that Chessington's pitch has been waterlogged for around three months in a block and it must be crippling the club financially. Something needs to be done; perhaps they might be able to attract funding for drainage or other remedial works? I know how difficult that can be but it might safeguard the club's future. As a short-term measure, well done to both clubs for reversing the fixture and getting the game played. It's the best decision all round. Will there be live tweets tomorrow? I've become increasingly reliant on them since moving up North and the last two games were a nightmare...
Swifty
Interesting to note that Kingstonian are considering moving to a new ground built on Chessington Golf Centre, which is also apparently susceptible to water table problems. No match report from me tonight, I'm afraid - or indeed for at least three of the four home games this month. Thinking this would be an away game, I've got a ticket for the game at Barnet to re-complete 'the 92' in my own fashion. I'll be away at Easter, and I'll be watching at least one of the two FA Trophy semi-final games involving my other (and indeed first) non-League love, and both legs clash with Ashford home games. Still, at least you'll get some peace and quiet...and someone decent on the tannoy!
manurgrate
Interesting to hear that the Ks are looking at the Golf Centre, the last report in our local paper was that it was being designated for housing development. They are inevitably finding it difficult to find a suitable site within the borough.
fatboyatmfc
I am reliably informed that our resident Twitterista will be in full Tweeting mode tonight. The tannoy will be manned, although if anyone would like to try their hand at it and take their first step into broadcasting feel free to step up to the Mic. It could quite easily lead to a glittering career and several BAFTAS. Not to mention a trophy wife and a Cocain habit.
Swifty
How about an FA Trophy wife and a Bovril habit?
