Soham 1 Hx 0

cup of tea

Not a lot to say really. Don't want to take anything away from Soham, they played well, closed down well and used the width of the pitch effectively.

We however just didn't get going. Not a lot of chances first half, thought that Hornchurch had the better of the play without actually creating too many clear-cut chances, can't remember Soham having any real chances. Second half, Soham came more into it and took their goal well.

Big game against Sudbury next week, Thurrock also play Cheshunt, wouldn't like to call that one. I think it's unlikely we're going to catch Sudbury so I think our priority should be to consolidate a playoff position and then see how far up we can get.

really disappointed with yesterdays game.

We need to be beating teams like Soham.

I dont like the fact that the midfield is not giving service to our strikers and why one of the leagues top strickers is stuck keeping the bench warm?

Should we not being playing our top stickers together as we know how good they work together...... Just saying!?

Lets hope we can finish the season at the highest possible place. Not looking forward to the playoffs, since straight promotion is right out of reach!!

Disappointing result after dominating the first half and creating quite a few chances. But we need to get behind the boys and cheer them on, Automatic promotion had vanished a few weeks back. We need to cement a place in the play offs and slagging the boys off is not the answer. If you had seen Jimmy Macs face when the whistle blew and he trudged back to the dressing room, he took it really badly you can see he feels it more than us. Jimmy will work hard as always and get us in the play offs. It looks like with points gained and games in hand that 4 teams are fighting for two spots.  So get behind the boys and COYU

Not being critical, bottom line is that Soham had beaten the in-form Harlow at home the previous week so they're no mugs.

I honestly believe that on our day, we can beat any team in this league and we've been through quite a few playoff games so there's players in the squad and a management team that knows what to do in those circumstances. Looking forward to getting to the playoffs and take it from there.
