v Paulton Rovers

Tricky game tomorrow against a Paulton team that are fighting to beat the drop.

Last 5 home games they have Beaten Stratford, Hitchin and Biggleswade, drew with Weymouth and only lost 1-0 to Chippenham.

Anyone who has thoughts of it being a relatively easy 3 points because of their league position need to think again.

Poor first 20 minutes where we were not at races!! Worked out way into it, and dominated second half and should have been out of site!

Good character and desire on a pitch that can only describe as the worst surface we have played on all season!

It was nothing short of a disgrace !

On the wrong end of a few decisions including one where ref stopped play for a head injury as hicksy was about to score to make it 4-2!

This 5 minutes after playing on when Guy went down with a head injury and blood to his face!

However these things happen, and to be honest a point is a good point there when you look at there last 5 games at home, however so close to 3 points and it was only a great strike from the lad to get them back into it, and in all honesty have to hold your hands up and say great strike from him, he was a real handful and you can see why he has been playing in the conference south for Weston Super Mare!

After a very shaky start we eventually settled to play some good football against one of the dirtyest teams I have seen in years, we could have been 4 nil down but were unlucky not to win in the end, I thought Guy Hollis was immence with Leigh Rumbold a close second, well done STFC for sorting it out and coming back strong.

Just seen that yesterday was Scott Harris' 100th appearance for us. Hatchett is underrated by a lot of our fans, why I really don't know. I remember in the 3-3 away draw at Chippenham earlier this season he was absolutely unplayable and it is only due to the quality of the other strikers at the club that he doesn't start regularly. Here's to many more games for the rebels, Scott!!!
