What do people think of this loan deal?

It would appear the Simon is jumping ship and I can't say I blame him.

I think 'the club' are hoping Roberts shells out a few grand for him to ease the cash-flow situation.

 

Just out of interest, he scored the last 'legitimate' goal I saw the Saints score, against Northwood on Nov 8th, just over 5 weeks ago. Is there any fog forecast for tomorrow?

Not sure if Cambridge City are going to shell out for Simon. They are having a few problems, and this week there's a report that they may sell their ground to ease massive debts in the NLP.

 

However, the Southern League does seem to have a transfer fee culture, more so than the Ryman, so there is hope.

Personally, i think he is a great player, whilst De Souza has never impressed me, i think SM is a far greater player or is it different when you see him every week.

If I had my way, he would start every game. Probably our most skilful player but had a poor season by his standards in 2002-3 (mainly due to injury) and hasn't really got over it. An extended run in the starting line-up would probably sort that but the powers that be seem keen to recoup some of the transfer fee we paid for him, shame that as he's City through and through.

 

De Souza can't be faulted for effort but time is not on his side anymore. Up front is his best position but he doesn't do too badly as a centre back.
