Not quite like the score suggests.

Although their keep won't have needed to wash his gloves this week, some of the approach play was good and if we can improve our crosses then it won't be long before we start scoring the odd goal or two.

I'd say we had far the better of the first half and long periods of the second.

However, we are leaking goals all over the place, so don't expect anymore points for a while.

See you Tuesday then, Voice?

Thomas was dire!

agreed that de souza couldve had a hatful, but you can say that about every game he plays

as for Murray's miss shockin

as for getting a keeper who hasnt played all season says it all really

we cant cross, the midfield goes missing and there is no leadership at all out there....totally spineless

HOWEVER thought we were the better team by miles, for long parts of the game, like we were against hendon last week

and finally how crap is the football this season?

hendon 5th?, charlton athletic 2nd?

wether he's better is irrelevant (Thomas)

he weren't much kop on saturday...as for a bit ungainly last bloke i saw like that down the park was Crouch

as for hendon granted the game was awful but again it was there for the taking

so basically we know have 3 'qualified" coaches

who dont seem to possess any motivational' skills between them

Have to disagree about Thomas, he can look a bit ungainly at times and made a few mishit passes, but I'd rather have him there than Wraight or Castle.

Much as it pains me Rob, I wouldn't have any one of them playing. I did think Thomas had a very poor game. He was a yard to two yards off the pace and it looked to me that he was directly responsible for losing possession for their second goal. What we need is Deacon and Seeby in the midfield together with another two more experienced players (and I don't mean 30 plus ex-league players on their way down) with them to guide them. Another thing I noticed a couple times on Saturday was Matt Jones lumping the ball skywards out of defence. He was not taught to play that way in the reserves and we can do without any of our young guns picking up these sort of bad habits from Brownie et al. You don't see it in the Premiership. Why have we got to put up with it?

Who, exactly, are these 3 qualified coaches then, Jilly? And what precisely are their actual qualifications? Because I don't see a lot of it being transferred to the field of play.

exactly my point, i was being ironic...

i was led to believe that Castle has qualifications coming out of his ears

I heard that Steve Castle has a UEFA Grade "A" coaching badge.

I heard that Richard Thomas has some level of qualifacation as well and I suspect that the third person is probably Miguel De Souza.

I suspect that none of them come from the '10 mile run every morning' school, however.

UEFA Coaching badges are pointless, so you learn how to run around cones and to show people how to take corners but we all know that management included motivation and man management skills, something this place sadly lacks.

I mean do they do role plays where the coach trys to motivate his team to go out and play a fictional game and if you feel motivated you pass a section of the course.

I don't know anything about football as you know, ESG.

In other times when I used to wear a hooped shirt, I would prepare for bigger matches in the changing room by biting the head off a kitten. For cup games, it would be a chicken.

To improve my pace over a short distance, every night I used to turn the light switch at the bedroom door and try to get into bed before the light went off.

I don't think these things appear in the UEFA coaching manuals, however.

Happy days.
