Zeal said something to me yesterday about this proving how great George Bush is, but then I asked him, with genuine interest, how this has any bearing on what George Bush has done? Anyone got any suggestions?

 

I wondered if maybe they'd found some WMD's in the bunker with Saddam <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Why would we be sad that he's been caught, we all know what a b*stard he is!

But aren't we missing the point here, we invaded Iraq due to the alledged WMD that they possess (still not found). We didn't invade Iraq to liberate the masses, why would the USA and us give a toss about the Iraqi people, if we cared about the poor people under dictators we'd be in loads of other countries as well.

 

Unfortinatly this is the right wingers on here missing the points again just like when people marched against the war in iraq and everybody was harping on about the war on terror.

 

Although I suspect this is just another well planned PM-ed "wind-up" of the pinkos

I see Zealster efm 10k is missing the actual point here, People who oppose the war in Iraq have long opposed the likes of Saddam Hussien and the taliban etc.

Where was bush and blair when woman were getting bullets in their heads for not wearing the veil in Afhgan football stadiums?

Where was bush's war against terrorism when the irish were bombing Britain?

Where was bush and blair when the Hutus were killing tutsis and tutsis killing hutus?

Yeah right, Maybe we see the irony that half the worlds despots including saddam are in fact American installed dictators that the yanks are happy to support until they dont obey the yankee wishes.

It's the lies and the hypocrisy of it all.

Wern't the talliban freedon fighters when having it with the russians in Afghanistan?

Maybe the yanks should come out with what they want and those intheknow know.

And absolutly know dissent will be tolerated.

At least us British didn't have any qualms about admitting that when empire building.

And as for Thatcher and Blair,riding the coattails of the US standing shoulder to kneecap with the yanks lording it up, reducing britain to a [***!!***] puppet state of the US.

They have made Britain a laughing stock little more than a satelite state of the yanks.

Forever sucking the corporate tit of mother America.

The capture of Saddam is a fascinating development, CZ.

 

I wonder what the charge will be, or have the lunatics dispensed with such niceties. "Saddam was the dictator of a country that the victorious allies unlawfully invaded. Guilty. Off with his head."

 

If 'they' try to charge him with genocide of the Kurds, Rumsfeld might be in danger of copping a conspiracy charge, having supplied the weapons.

 

Suppose he's charged with something, tried and found innocent? That's a fascinating one, too.

 

In view of the level of forethought given to the post-invasion situation in Iraq, we can be certain that the two lunatics have got everything under control.

 

When is the Hutton Report due to be published?.
