FF News
Litherland REMYCA have responded to an appeal put out by Sefton Schoolboys’ Under 15 representative football team for a new kit to wear in an important forthcoming semi-final. The Sefton side are preparing for a semi final tie against Liverpool Schoolboys in the National English School Cup Competition, and Remy have ensured they will take to the pitch properly suited and booted by arranging for new kit and equipment to provided for the team, after being made aware of the team’s problems in trying to source much needed replacements. Don Rimmer, Chairman of Litherland REMYCA, said: "When we discovered the Schoolboys team were struggling for kit and equipment we could not sit back, and used our network of contacts to put together the resources required. “Our thanks go to Clement Gallagher (Weekly Taxi Insurance) part of the County Insurance Group, Liverpool County FA and the Management Committee of REMYCA FC for their contributions”. Sefton Schoolboys Under 15s manager Darren Melling commented: "We are grateful to all at REMYCA for taking the time and effort to arrange this. “Although we represent the borough, we receive no help or support. We have fought our way to a semi -final of a prestigious national cup against the odds and deserve better recognition. “We put out various Twitter posts for support and thankfully REMYCA came forward. They are proper football people with a strong community ethos and they have been brilliant for us." Source: www.nwcfl.com Source
