Admission prices for 2002/3

How can the club justify putting the prices up to £9? We are already the most expensive side to watch in the Ryman league.

The kids for a £ is a good idea though but Canvey really need to increase thier fanbae among adults as well. Putting up the prises will not help.

can u believe this, every 1 seems to be having a pop at canvey at the moment. Where all sticking up for them only for the club to put the prices up to £9, thats dear for ryman league standard. NO season tickets for standing, now whats all that about, its terrible never heard of it before. With only matt jones joining and smithy, tilly and stimmo gone im not forward to this season at all. But lets hope there are good things ahead.i can see our crowds being low this season(now that will make a change) cos of the price rise and no season for standing.

wait out side the ground for the unaccompanied 14 year old brigade, tell em you'll get em in for 2 quid by pretending to be their uncle/dad/grandad/cousin/stepdad/parole officer/asylum officer etc etc.. round 9 of em up and your in for nothing..everyones a winner.. i think vic has pencilled himself in as grandad already so that one has gone <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

So Canv, seeing as im now 14 your my "great uncle" from now on, ok? I was thinking of buying my first season ticket this year, now I got a couple of hundred in the bank, but bloody h e l l, I WANNA STAND! Seating is where all the old people sit, who cant stand for long ( fair enough, respect to them ) but I dont really like it, ok, you get a good view, shame about the atomosphere. Oh yeah, if everyone buys them, the "vocal boyz" Could all get seated ones. Oh well, it wont happen, as I am too young to go down the clubhouse I wont be able to get the "new kit" till next season, and I also wont be able to talk to people to see if they will be seated. Someone tell me whats happening, maybe send me a pint via e-mail or something.

Increase standing by 12.5 %. Take away the option to buy a terrace season ticket. Canvey certainly know how to treat their supporters. Greed or poor PR? I'll go for both.

Season Ticket for 1 Adult and 1 child at Canvey costs £250.

Season Ticket for 1 Adult and 1 child at Southend (2 levels higher STILL in the pyramid) costs £188.

Something wrong here methinks.

(No need to obscure the issue with cheap jokes about Southend)

Come back John Crawshaw all is forgiven!

Wasn't this his favourite topic? You lot all gave him grief about it, I bet you wish you had backed him now? I'm afraid you've made your bed and now you're gonna have to lie on it and start digging a little deeper into those wallets. The only thing you could say in the clubs defence is that attendances are so poor that they've got to try and recoup the losses somehow though ripping off fans is so short sighted, reducing prices what be better in the long term!

Bad Billy Dobbs. Well, there's a name from (my) past. How are you darling? Remember all those good times we had watching football, a drink or two afterwards and the world was ours (well, Gravesend anyway).

And how is John Crawshaw? I have the same affection for both of you. You two were always so alike. Same style of writing, same topics of conversation, same desire to be an ace stirrer, same chip on your shoulders, same internet service provider... the list goes on.

Oh, and you were both useless in bed - whoops! Sorry.

Jervais, what a suprise! I have to say I don't quite look back on he 'good' times in the same way that you do and as you've gone public about what went on in the bedroom department I have to say that you weren't up to much either! Yes you looked a stunner that night in the bar after I'd had a few but the next morning uuggghh!

I'm afraid I can't help you regarding Mr Crawshaws welfare, I don't think I've met him or was it him that disturbed us in that oh so embarrasing moment? Still I don't suppose you can remember, your bedroom wasn't dubbbed Clapham Junction for nothing! I'm most hurt though that you've called me a stirrer, I'm sure if you look through this thread you'll understand my point, I know you're not very bright but you'll get there eventually!

toodalooo!
