Enfield United
THE NEXT FOUR GAMES We have already entered the business end of the Season With 13 league games still remaining. We are on average 6 points off the pace with 39 points to play for. The next 4 games are massive indicators of whether we will regret our poor start to the season or can recover from what seemed a hopeless position. We start with an away game at Staines Town, home to VCD, then away trips to Met Police and Tonbridge Angels. That's 3 away games out of the 4. CAN WE DO IT, CAN WE WIN ALL 4? OldTowner
Need to be unbeaten and get at least10 points. Not easy. Staines - new manager and did well at Tonbridge. VCD - who can tell - beat us, beat Dulwich then go down 6 .1 at Merstham !! Met Pol - never easy. Tonbridge - don't lose many at home - point would be good on a Tuesday night. Tough. lovely stuff
Even if we have a great run and make the play-off's.We will still probably have two away games in the play-off's in order to gain promotion. Is going to be very tough..What we need to do next season is hit the ground running with a settled side.Plus, do not throw points away like we did at lower teams like VCD and Burgess Hill, and then we will find making the top 5 a much easier affair. And we won't have to rely on a magical run of games at the end of the season in order to make them. OldTowner
3 home game 2 - 0 up in each and finishing 2-2, 2-2. and 2-3 certainly not helped. 9 points turned to 2. Obviously not good enough and very costly. Start of season was a disaster with so many players in and out until a proper squad was formed. Lessons to be learnt by Brad and Management, me thinks. If and its a BIG if, we have some consistency and a bit of luck, who knows !! Other Teams above and around us have some difficult games and as has been proved over the last few weeks, anyone can beat anyone. Keep believing. Enfield United
Agree totally OT. Knock off a steady winning run and it will be achievable. Teams are dropping points left right and centre
