littlehampton
Tonight we travel to East Sussex to play Burgess Hill Town who last season won the Ryman Division One South to move into the Ryman Premier Division for the first time. The Hillians have made a decent start to the season and are currently 14th in the table, six points behind Town in 10th position. We played them back in August at Donkey Lane and beat them 1-0 with a goal from Corey Whitely. Burgess Hill have a mixed home record this season and have lost to Grays, Harrow Borough, Wingate & Finchley, Staines, Kingstonian, and East Thurrock. To their credit, their home victories include defeating Dulwich Hamlet 3-2 at the Green Elephants Stadium back in September. Hot news from their camp today, is that they have just signed James Fraser, an experienced goal-scoring forward from Sussex rivals Lewes, and he is expected to be involved this evening. His former clubs include Worthing, Bognor, Eastbourne, Peacehaven, and Whitehawk. Sounds like a bit of a journey-man! Really looking forward to this match tonight, as like Bognor Regis and Lewes, Burgess Hill is like a home match to me - well, only 30 miles away. It will good to join other Towners in giving our lads some extra vocal support and, hopefully, chalking up another away win. Fingers crossed! We need another BIG performance tonight. Good luck everyone. Let's do the business guys!! 'COME ON YOU TOWN'

4wembleyfinals
Having seen the line up, there appears to be at least 6 players missing, including Doyle, Campbell and Ottaway to name only three. Are all six injured or has something happened which we should know about. Even so, the end of match comment suggests we were the dominant team... AGAIN!!! If so what went wrong? It seems so disappointing, since we were led to believe the possible acquisition of more players to assist the run in to the end of the season. Has any one got any news? Unless we win at least 4 of the next 5 league games we will have to accept the play offs will be out of reach. I would recommend Littlehampton summary in "The Run Home" and our dialogue on the number of wins we calculate are needed to give us a chance of even coming into contention
OldTowner
BH keeper did not have to make a single save all night. Yes we hit the bar and the post, but we did not "work the keeper" once in 90+ minutes. How do we expect to win games playing like this ? BH had one clear chance and took it, once again from some poor defending. Sorry to say, it is the same old story. Spells of decent movement and midfield play, but lacking firepower where it counts. Time for Brad to take some action regarding some players who do not seem up to the required level. Defeats at VCD and tonight, show just how much improvement is needed if we wish to aspire to be a top five team.
4wembleyfinals
Having just read the "Official Report" and OT account of the match I am inclined to accept the latter to be nearer the truth. I am finding the official reports are somewhat blinkered. I wonder if any ever read this forum and if they do what are there views. OT, Do you think we have the players to make the improvement that you so rightly suggest we need? Also when can we expect to hear about the " Ins and Outs" as previously promised. Does anyone know about the new player in last night?
seemgee
Player news 21 year-old striker Vance Bola made his Town debut last night as a second half substitute at Burgess Hill, soon after the club had received the requisite international clearance following his spell playing for Union 05 FC in Luxembourg. He had previously been on the books at Sutton United, Colchester United and Crystal Palace. Darnell Wynter has joined Ware FC on a one-month loan arrangement. according to what I have found on the net he moved to Union 05 Kayle Tetange from Wealdstone a year ago. The team not doing so well second from bottom of the second tier.

4wembleyfinals
Thanks Sm for Info. I have just read the Club's announcement on the website. It is a strange that it appeared just after I ask the question in my last post. Is it possible that someone does read our comments on the Forum? Probably not, it was just a coincidence.Sorry to see Harry O is injured. Do hope it is not long term. Hopefully the newplayer will prove to be the right one to feed of him. Another concern was to readsuch a number of players referred to as being unavailable!!!! It's a term that covers all situations. Last years game at Leatherhead kicked started our run to the end of the season, let's hope lightning does strike twice. As I am visiting a friend this weekend I will await the result with a little trepidation. Another strange one, is regarding Hayden-Smith and like BG I too would like to know what has happened. It is as if he has just been frozen out. Does anyone know? Again he is the sort of player that might bring out the best of the new player if he is as good as BQ says. vauxhallman
At the AGM Bradley said that Hayden Smith had serious personal problems and could no longer commit to the club and has left.
OldTowner
Correct V M. A shame for the Club, but even more so for young Tashan . Great potential, let's hope he can sort out his problems and return. Wish him well.
