Savagebee
Yep 3g/4g pitches are the way forward for clubs at our level of football we have lost a lot of money over the winter period with games getting called off because of the weather we might as well have had a winter break. Footy Mad
Yep 3g/4g pitches are the way forward for clubs at our level of football we have lost a lot of money over the winter period with games getting called off because of the weather we might as well have had a winter break. The trouble with winter breaks at our level is that you would never know when to plan them November is usually a bad month for rain December/January with frosts .... or in this case ... more rain And here we are in February and still anticipating postponements

More and more clubs groundshare these days which doesnt help the pitches.
Chris Clapham
hows your pitch looking CC ? Fine at present. Obviously a little worn out but flat and dry. Need to see what rain we get overnight but shouldn't be any problems.

Krooner
HW 1 v 4 Hereford. Great effort by all at HW to host such a big game. Feel Hereford always had just a little bit too much for Hartley but a fantastic achievement to reach the last 16 and host such a big game. Credit to Luke and his team down there both on and off the pitch. Big test for us to go there now and we will need to be on top of our game to match them. Daniel Bishop
Cobham 0 Ash United 1 A great all round team performance Ash take all 3 points, we went 1-0 up after 22 mins through Ben House. First half saw us hit the post twice. We were under the cosh for periods in the second half, Only down point is we should be finishing games off a lot sooner, over the moon with the guys. Frimley away next week.

Beat me to it bish..think Cobham were thier own downfall at times by over playing it especially at the back, but Credit to us we capalised on it, just shame we didn't kill them off

E&E Rich
Would love to put a report of our match up here but yet again it was off. We heard there was one area that was a problem and "the ball didn't roll on it". So what? It wasn't dangerous and it wasn't great, everyone knows it is a bit heavy at Farnham right now, but why the hell do these sort of things need to be postponed these days? No wonder we all have so many fixtures to catch up on. Just to pick up on another point earlier in this thread, a 3g pitch might have allowed the game to be played technically, but no one would have been able to take a set piece or goal kick as the ball wouldn't stay still in those winds. It would have been a farce. Yet for some reason, players are no longer allowed to have a match on a muddy pitch, despite the fact that it would have been combative and competitive and would maybe even add to the interest. Grr!
