FF News
Kidderminster Harriers winger James McQuilkin says the belief is there within the squad for Harriers to go and win at Aldershot Town this weekend. Having suffered six consecutive National League defeats, it would be understandable to think that morale is at an all-time low inside the changing rooms at Aggborough – and that the trip to Hampshire is most unwelcome. But, to the contrary, former Walsall man McQuilkin says that the team retains a sense of confidence. Similarly, Harriers last away win was over a full calendar year ago; that, too, coming against the Shots. “That’s obviously a good omen, so let’s see if we can do it again,” commented the player. “We know we’ve got the players and we know we have the belief throughout our squad. “We’ll go there and give it our best shot and, hopefully, get the three points.” The gap between Harriers and safety is sizable, but McQuilkin added: “There is belief from top to bottom, throughout the club. “As long as we can keep fighting and getting points on the board in order to stay up, we’ll keep [going] all the way. “We have shown improvement and progression and if we can keep doing that, we’re moving in the right direction.” Source: www.harriers.co.uk Source
