Torrington in the FA Vase

Recommended Posts

Do you think the torrential rain turning the pitch into a water polo venue will be a problem? Torrid weather but we've played in worse. That match against Leyton - Was that weather yuk or what?

I hear the chair of the Western League is coming to support his team let's hope his and Torrington's trip is not for the match to be postponed, it is a long way to come to have to return again!

There will be a pitch inspection this morning. What time this happens depends on whether the FA can get a local referee to do it as the match ref has to come from Aylesbury. More news on here and on the ETFC web page if I can get it before about 1pm. Otherwise, check the news line on 09066 555908 (high tariff number) which will be updated in any case.

As I understand it, next week's fixture against The Abbotts is dependent on a possitive result - ie that is the replay date if required. I assume that if the match today is cancelled then it will be played next Saturday?

The game today is off and will now be played next Saturday. The Waltham Abbey game in the GBMT will therefore have to be rearranged.

The Gordon Brasted match scheduled for Saturday 20th December has been postponed as they - Enfield Town - will now play Torrington in the FA Vase (which was postponed today 13/12/2003). The new date will be announced when known.
