FF News
The Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's social media maestros are planning another charity match for the end of the season. Excited administrators from the NPL Facebook Group are asking their 5,000 plus members to suggest suitable locations and ideas for an event to match the success of a 12 hour football marathon they staged at the start of the current campaign. Held in August at Radcliffe Borough's Stainton Park in aid of Dementia UK, fans and many of the league's top stars teamed up to raise hundreds of pounds for the charity. One "grudge" match saw a team from the NPL Facebook Group take on a side from The Non-League Review website. The inspiration for the event came from Radcliffe's Tom Glendon whose 92-year-old granny Emily Richard has been diagnosed with dementia. The efforts of Glendon and the NPL Facebook Group were also supported by the Evo-sTIK NPL's official kit sponsors Joma who donated a special kit branded with the NPL Facebook Group's logo on the front and Chryso who provided the match balls. A spokesman said: "If anyone has a good location where this can be held at a minimal cost and decent public transport service around then please get in touch."
