OD's
Salisbury are a very good side and will go very close to winning the whole competition. Basically step 3 quality players playing at step 5. Berko will do well to avoid them.
Karen Browne
We can pray for a Salisbury v Hereford in next round
OD's
Still a shame that clubs at the very top of the pyramid do not pay their debts and end up in step 5. Basically the same clubs with huge budgets and support, of which us mere mortals at step 5 can never compete with. Bet teams in the Wessex (Salisbury) and Midland League's (Hereford) have written off any view of promotion for this season.

Well done to you guys for getting this far though
Munchkin
I don't know the ins and outs of either club, but it is rarely a simple case of failing of the club to pay bills.
OD's
Well both gone into administration and folded I would think and new clubs rise out of it. Lets hope no big phoenix clubs come into the SSML. Do you think they should start again at step 7 ?
Karen Browne
Where they begin again is down to the FA. - Edgware Town began again at Step
OD's
All due respect to Edgware but not on a par with the two mentioned. Did Edgware go bust though ?
Munchkin
Normally there are considerations such as ability of grounds to handle number of supporters. I recall that's why Afc Wimbledon didn't have to start at Step 7.
Neutral
It would be great for the league of a big time went bust and fell into SSML. Good crowds and publicity, but yes would make it a one horse title race. But it was like that with Dunstable Town the other year anyway
OD's
Would not say our fellow tenants were big time. Salisbury, Conference Prem, Hereford, Football League, Rushden and Diamonds, Football League. DTFC got relegated from Southern Central for playing ringers in games and docked 13 points. Also it took them 4 seasons to win the league and were not getting crowds of between 500-800. And before you say anything, both clubs get on well. (maybe not their supporters though, weird bunch)
Munchkin
To be fair, Afc Rushden started with a youth team and then entered at Step 6 the following season. I do agree that clubs in general should start at Step 7 for example Edgware. But other considerations such as could all Step 7 grounds cope with the volume of supporters safely have to come into consideration. I do think some credit needs to go to suppporters who set up these fan owned "phoenix" clubs after being shafted in many cases by dodgy / terrible owners.
