FF News Posted January 6, 2016 Share Posted January 6, 2016 Waltham Abbey manager Martin Hayes has offered his resignation at the Ryman League North's basement club with immediate effect. The decision came after a poor run of form, culminating in Abbey's 4-1 defeat against Brightlingsea Regent on Tuesday night. That defeat meant that the club have gone thirteen games without a win in all competitions, their last victory came on the last day of October with a 3-1 win at Chalfont St Peter. Paul Joynes and Mark Cutler have taken over First Team Managerial duties for the immediate future. A statement on the club website said "The club would like to place on record its thanks to Martin for all his efforts and endeavour since taking charge at the beginning of the season and wish him well for the future.
