Would have been nice to get Kirby in,but it wasn't to be..We have enough cover in defense.Enough quality cover is maybe more debatable? With Lockie and Gabriel out,we still have Doyle and Stevens replacing them.With Parcell and Samir as second cover.We also have Da Cruz as a central defensive replacement if needed.

 

I think we must remember that experienced older premier players won't sit on the bench too long before moving on at this level.As such you will find that most benches in this league consist of mainly inexperienced younger talent.

Good point Lovely Stuff it is hard to keep experienced players happy hence why you need to ideally bring in players who are going to go straight in to the team but that isn't easy to a) find and afford, especially if they are experienced!

 

That might be where Brad is currently lacking as a manager. To date he has been astute at bringing in and developing young talent (most likely on the cheap) but this early in his managerial journey he may find the experienced players harder to come by as well as manage.
