They should just play that one on the 3g/4g pitch behind the Middlesex Super Stadium

They would not be allowed until the pitch has been passed as suitable for the SSML

it wasn't too bad when it started at Hertford but you could only see it getting worse as it went on... Rain got really bad in last 10 and proper waterlogged pitch...

Fantastic game considering conditions..

A horrible looking page for a Fixture Secretary.

Any idea when these matches will be played?

Craziness really. Hoddesdon and Woodford have had to travel on a Tuesday night. And Codicote and Hertford have had to put on food, officials and floodlights.

When anyone could have looked at the weather this morning and seen that football wouldn't be possible.

Can't understand why no one listens to the groundsman. I said before the match that we would wreck the pitch and it would be abandoned at half time. Ref laughed, agreed.......and carried on with the game anyway! Am now considering giving it up after the hours I have spent making improvements to the pitch over 3 years when it can be wrecked in one night and no-one prepared to reason.

Would be a shame if that was the case, that pitch has to be the most improved I've seen at the level in the last few years.

For sure. I remember playing on that pitch about ten years ago, when it was more gravel than grass.

And I can understand that Loucas.

Obviously it's not a refs job to protect a pitch.

But it'd be nice to see a bit of common sense used when it clearly won't remain playable for long.

Not fair on you, or the fans who've paid.

As well as the other volunteers who make food, wash kit, clean changing rooms etc.

Not to mention players who have to rush from work.

All for nothing essentially.

At least the ref gets paid.

And if the pitch is a write off then games on dry days may still be called off if the weather is frosty. The couple of times it has happened to us is when the it is a reserve team game and the referee will not listen and we lose some first team games because of it.
