urchinman1961
Well where do you start with this game ok a couple of enforced changes today but this was awful we all want to get out of this awful division but performances like that then no chance but I know it was one of those games felt sorry for our strike force starved of any service of sort I know the conditions was not the best but our lads cannot control balls 10ft in the air which was the pattern for most of the game against a poor side cant recall us having a shot on target !!!! rant over move on to Tuesday night dig deep and play to our normal ability
cup of tea
Similar to the Romford game, link-up play in midfield wasn't quite there and a similar outcome unfortunately. They were difficult conditions and obviously losing Tobi was a blow and we haven't had time to properly re-organise yet and we still have a long way to go in the season. Having said that, we can't afford too many games like this. Heybridge - determined and well organised but that's about it - at the end of the day however, they got the three points. There was no midfield link up play whatsoever in both matches against Romford and it was just route one. We were therefore able to put more bodies in defence and pick up six relatively easy points. Now all the other clubs know how to beat Hornchurch the second half of the season will be much harder.

urchinman1961
Hats off to anyone who gets points off of us but hoofball is not our usual style of play when we play it on the ground we get results the table doesn't lie
cup of tea
Part of this is down to adjusting without Tobi who has played a big part of our season. We were excellent against Bury and we'll improve from this performance.
Miss.A.F.C.Hornchurch
Adjusting to playing without out Tobi shouldnt be that hard. We have the players capeable of doing to so. But unfortunately were not up to it yesterday. Why we have to result to long ball tactics, i dont know, we play much better when we get the ball down and pass it. Which we seemed incapeable of doing so also yesterday. Wake up, heads up and communicate!! We need to beat teams like heybridge if we are to have any chance of getting out of the shoddy league. However if we continue to drop points and play as shockingly as a team at the bottom (playing as poor as heybridge did) (yes, really, they were no better) on the league then this will not happen, let alone make the playoffs!! How we can play like a promotion winning team one saturday then play like crap, i just dont get it! No excuses at this level!
