Rumours that 2 Ryman prem teams have gone in for 2 Hoddesdon players?

Recommended Posts

I think there is a bit of snobbery from leagues like the Ryman league when looking at lower leagues. Strange because everyone started somewhere and these managers forget their roots very quickly

Completely true Jonno. Funny how they still take a look at any old lad who turns up for the first session of pre season saying he has played pro in Estonia etc.

It is a bit of a mystery when you think of how well the promoted clubs from this league have done.

The Premier Division has got to up there with the toughest to get out of..

I can confirm he did score... football Web pages have it as Harry Ottaway... but people at the game confirm Phil scored..

Great start to his ETFC career

Fantastic to see players stepping up... there are many more who can do if... just need a chance

I bet plenty of step 3 and 4 clubs come in for SSML players during a season. We have a few now who have played at that level and have found our league much tougher than expected.

"He was on <insert pro club name here> books"  Yep... there is definitely a good reason why he isn't any more as he isn't good enough Spartan either!

Harry Newman played in the Spartan for Harefield last season, now playing (and scoring) for Harrow Boro in the Rymans prem after a short spell at Hanwell Town.

A decent player but all left foot would have liked him to stay with us until the end of the season but good luck to him a nice guy. Was getting better for us as the season was going on.

Always good to have a southpaw in your line up, Harefield could certainly do with him making a return.

I don't think we can compete financially with WGC. I doubt it would be a viable option for Hoddesdon.

Plus, i believe you have to wait another 28 days before making another 7 day approach for a player at the same club as someone that has been approached?

Prepared to be corrected of course.

I am not aware of any 7 day approaches that have or have not been made by any club to another club in the last couple of months
