FF News
Gary Brabin is looking forward to Saturday's FA Trophy tie when Tranmere Rovers take on Wrexham at Prenton Park. Although there are no league points up for grabs, the manager says that he's taking the competition seriously and it's a chance to get back to winning ways after disappointment last time out. He told Tranmere Player: "It's a game that we want to win and we need to get back into the habit of winning football matches. "We're working hard every day to try to improve our fortunes on the pitch and Saturday is another opportunity for another game, possibly try a couple of things and hopefully get back to winning ways. "We want to get better. Although I'm happy with the squad of players, there are certain areas where we need to get stronger. "The lads are as frustrated as we all are. They want to be part of a winning football club and at the moment we're not winning enough games." Brabin is expecting a tough test from Gary Mills' side, especially having played out a 2-2 draw at the Racecourse Ground earlier this season. He said: "It's a good test for us, good opposition and it will be a different test for us as the opposition will fancy their chances and be coming onto us so it will open the game up a little bit. "It's a game where we'll be looking to convert chances, score goals and hopefully that will lead to us winning football matches. "As a player, you just want to play football. I'm sure, looking at the group of players, they're all looking forward to the game on Saturday and they'll understand the added force behind it with it being a local derby."
