Top end of Catherine Street, on the right about 100 yards from the roundabout, now called something poncey like 'No. 42' I think, and turned into a wine bar/theme pub/cafe type place. I won't be visiting.

It's the 62 (I think). I went in the beer garden on my one and only visit and the grass was about a foot long!

We played in the Pineapple about 3-4 times. Used to be quite a good pub. A bit like the Beehive.

a sort of Crass/Anarcho punkpop hybrid

The Pineapple was also called The Merry Minstrel for a while as I recall.

Not sure how I'd describe us (although I can think of a few adjectives!!)

 

The singer liked Soul.

The lead guitarist liked 60's psychedelia.

The rhythm guitarist was a mod.

The drummer liked 70's folk.

And the bass player (yours truly!) was into his indie/pop.

 

The mix wasn't always too pleasant on the ears!!
