staines_rebel_Jr
So far this season we have had 36 yellows and 2 reds in 29 competitive matches. (11 yellows and 1 red picked up by players who have left during the season) We have picked up only 4 yellows from our past 5 games with three yellows coming from a feisty game away to Frome. There has been a huge change in terms of our discipline this season compared to previous seasons and we don't often see our players surrounding the refs anymore, on occasion one or two players might argue with the ref but most of the time it has been due to an obvious mistake by the officials. Personally I think the players and managers have done very well to contain themselves and not pick up silly cautions so far this season and I hope it continues as it is how most of us want to see the game be played. Irishadrian
Yes a great improvement Neil has commented online about this improvement I did ask a question on this forum after about half a dozen games this season when it looked like we would be continuing as last season If I remember there were only 4 teams worse than us then but that turned out to be a bit of a glitch and things have rapidly improved I think we are 12th/13th for league games at present a huge improvement and room for more improvement Its important for a reason rarely mentioned and that is that refs talk to each other and share their perceptions of a teams fairness teams considered fair by refs are treated more leniently than teams they perceive/expect to be a problem Look how many times last season people on this forum claimed the ref unfairly favoured the other team Its great to be getting a reputation for fair play and well done to the managers.
