FF News
Tranmere Rovers boss Gary Brabin says that the squad remains confident as they go into Saturday's home fixture with Guiseley. Rovers sit in 12th position in the National League but only six points behind the play-off positions and the manager believes that his squad will kick on and close that gap. He told Tranmere Player: "We need to be in touching distance, we'd like to have been a few points nearer obviously but we need to focus on ourselves, get the right result to start and then find that consistency in results to drive us forward. I believe we will get better and better. "There's certainly no crisis, we need to quickly get back into winning ways to stay within touching distance. "The lads are in good spirits and are desperate to put it right and Saturday is another big game for us. It's another opportunity to put into practise what we work hard for on the training ground. "Guiseley are a good footballing side and one we won't be taking lightly. But we need to focus on ourselves and hopefully we can get ourselves back on track." The manager reported that he is pleased to be able to welcome back Lois Maynard after his international break. He added: "We have Lois back and he's ok after his stint away. Lois has played two games with St Kitts & Nevis and he's come back bright and bubbly. "Liam Hogan has had another week's training so he's going to be in contention so the squad is looking stronger."
