Yashwa Romeo score another goal against us tonight, it seems every time he plays against us he scores.

 

He can't be far off scoring more goals against us than for us.

What a fantastic evening. Brilliant atmosphere behind the goal and a cracking game of football. Who'd of thought at half time we would see 9 goals in a game. Turning point was Marlow missing an open goal at 2-3 and us scoring almost straight after. Then both teams played end to end football and I one point it didn't look like there were any defenders on the pitch at all. Miss games at Marlow, good food , good hospitality and good matches.

Geographically our next opponents should be Northwood or possibly SYCOB or Egham if they win their games next week.

Eddie is under contract with us this season (hence an official loan with HW).

 

He is not available this weekend due to a work commitment, he will then be back with us for the Stratford game.

That's great news Neil, it was being talked about on Godalming forum I noticed.

 

Thanks for clarifying, I didn't realise we had contract players this season. Not that that's a bad thing.

I thought you were in the loop with all these kinds of things and the players we are going to sign    

 

 

Its been rumoured for a while now by many behind the goal that a few players are on contracts. No guaranteed names have ever been mentioned by it was always thought that Eddie was one of them. Pretty sure we have had players on contracts for a few years now, I might be wrong but I think Warrington was on contract due to several teams from leagues above enquiring about him but he wanted to stay as he was still at uni locally and didn't want to have to move.

 

 

Personally I think having a few players on contract is for the best as it will allow us to hold onto them and be compensated if they do leave.

 

 

Not sure about others but I don't care if we are never told who is or isn't on contract as it is something that is between the players, managers and the chairman.

If a club from a higher league comes in for a player and he's on a contract we can ask for compensation but if that club says that they won't pay anything would we stand in the way of that players progression?

 

Having a player on a contract gives you some clout but also has it's pitfalls.
