Looking at the squad tonight, it gives us a chance of giving most of the players some game time and a couple of players a rest.

 

Think I would start with a 4-4-2 of

 

Scott

 

Webb  Clayton  Hicks  Dhillon

 

Gokmen   Rumbold  Hope  Putman

 

Strutton   Smith

 

Subs: S.Harris  Mpi  Maloney  Hollis  W.Harris

 

With the view of taking Charlie Strutton off at half time and resting Guy Hollis and Warren Harris from proceedings, unless necessary.

Ended 6-3 to Slough

 

Went in 1-0 down at half time due to a wonder strike from Marlow despite us Dominating.

 

An early second half goal from Marlow put us 2-0 but we found our scoring boots to turn it around to 6-2 with Marlow scoring a last second consolation goal.

 

We dominated the game and created plenty of chances, Putman was superb in the second half and played a part in most of our goals.

 

Ed smith did well tonight and was unlucky not to get a goal, from the reactions from those on the side including our chairman he was wrongfully dissalowed a goal for offside.

 

The managers will have a tough decision on who to start upfront on Saturday with all four of our strikers are playing well.

Crazy game with flashbacks to the days of the capital league!!! Marlows keeper was genius - Neil/Jon I checked and he is not on a contract!!! Tbf he took a lot of stick (mostly from me) and didn't bite once, even when he had to walk off the pitch basically next to me which did scare me slightly. Putman superb and thought gokmen also played very well despite some dodgy finishing first half.

 

Quote of the night though came from Adrian after their 3 played a three kick nearly into Wycombe town centre - 'I have a fear of clowns and you guys really aren't helping'!!!

 

Great fun!!!

Very entertaining game. We really should have been a few goals to the good at half-time but turned around 1-0 down.

 

Second half we started on the front foot and again should have scored a couple before Marlow went 2-0 nil in front.

 

We then scored a quick fire couple of goals to make it 2-2 at which point our superior class took over running out comfortable 6-3 winners against a demoralised Marlow.

 

Lewis Putman was superb tonight and virtually unplayable and IMO by far our MOTM.

 

Also good games for Ryan Hope and Scott Harris.
