Can I just say how proud I am of our little club for getting a game on and with a decent starting surface today when so many other SSML clubs fell foul of the last 48hrs of deluge.

 

It doesn't look great anymore but with the hard work of our volunteer groundstaff, it'll be back to it's glorious best for The FA Vase game.

 

And to the pathetic rival chairman who stormed out at HT with Hertford Town 5-1 up & branding our club a joke (after his own wicket/pitch was deemed unplayable earlier in the day) I would say this . . . we got a game on and entertained the public. You didn't.

 

MBE must stand for the most Miserable Bugger Ever!

You both would have been welcome in the boardroom post-game.

Hale Leys 2-1 Totternhoe. Think a draw would've been a fair result in the end. Both sides having equal chances and posession. Lack of quality in the final 3rd cost us in the end. Can see why Hale Leys will win things this year. Good to see how far we've come this year though and I personally think we're only one player off from competing for top spot.

Hale have a strong squad of players who are not always available. Didn't get to see this game but I believe Totternhoe's  goal came from a penalty which was stupid to give away seeing the defence was tightly covered.

Very disappointing if them findings are true. Col's an honest man aswel there's no reason in my opinion he'd lie. The chairman in this league do come as bitter as they do nice. Seen it over the past years , complete different breed.

Penalty was dead cert. We had plenty of chances but didn't really test the gk. Hale Leys had the same, only forcing one good save from our gk.
