Romford - away 1st November 1.30pm

FA Trophy first qualifying round match.

Romford's form seems to be a bit erratic.... after defeats of 5-0 and 5-1 to Aveley and Bury Town, Romford followed up midweek with a 1-0 win at AFC Hornchurch.

They are currently in the lower third of Ryman North a position the equivalent probably of a club like Uxbridge..... so potentially a banana skin if not taken seriously from the first whistle.

Technically they are in the middle third (15 of 24).

Playing the match on a sunday after what could be a long trip depending on traffic won't be ideal but we have been playing very well recently with lots of energy and confidence and should be looking to get a positive result.

Does the FA Trophy go to replay or extra time ???

Very "professional" performance by the Rebels today. MoM difficult to pick again, as another excellent all round performance. Just need to get the left back sorted (not that Nathan had a poor game but we obviously need a long term solution) and with the excellent news that Rummy will be with us until March, and the returning players to come, we are looking very good.

Good team performance and a well deserved win.

Not sure that we played better than we have in our last few games but our opposition today were poor or not at the same quality we usually play.

Could have scored more but then we also relied on mark Scott to make some saves when 1 on 1.

Nice to be on a cup run.

Mom Adrian hollis :) seriously though I wouldn't want to call it as so many good performances which made us easy winners

we did a very good job of getting a comfortable win in what could have been a tricky game

great attitude shown by all from the start to go and grab the initiative by working hard and showing our ability.

would have been easy to go and think we will win without having to try too hard but didn't really see any sign of that

some good goals along the way and job done

fair play to Romford who despite clearly being 2nd best stuck at it and gave it a good go. although they didn't have a lot of chances they could have easily nicked a consolation particularly late on

I'm also looking forward to the draw for the next round..... with three away draws in the cup competitions so far, I'm hoping it will be at home, where I would fancy our chances against any other club in the hat (Redditch, Poole and Chippenham are already out!).
