One of the major differences is that there are fewer 'commutable' clubs at Steps Three and Four to transfer to, and therefore better players stay at Step Five.

There has also been a number of years where the top clubs in the North have declined promotion to stay at Step 5. If you look at the Southern division central it must have nearly half the club having formerly been SSML sides in recent years plus Dunstable & Biggleswade Town a division higher

We have a very strong league in my opinion, surviving in a division above hasn't been a problem for most promoted clubs.

That and also the majority of players in the SSML and other southern league teams are in full time employment, respectively.

Agree fully. You think within a 20 miles radius of Dunstable you have Leighton Town, Barton Rovers, Kings Langley, Arlesey Town, Aylesbury, Aylesbury United and Bedford Town at step 4. Not to mention DTFC, Biggleswade Town, Hitchin Town, Chesham United and St Albans further up the pyramid.

Fair play to Sholing 2 seasons ago winning it.

At what round in the Vase do the longer trips start and at what round does it become national?

Massive shock to the system for WGC. Took a bit of time to find out what league Cricklewood Wanderers play in.

Any report from WGC on what happened ?

Yes they wanted it more, were more physical and did what counts that is to put the ball n the net.

Report of Full Time

Yep he played, didnt score and was subbed. Man Mountin T.Jindu is back in the Southall team which is good for them. Southall need some league wins big time they are going through a dreadful run at the moment.

Hope Southall turn things around quick.
