Borehamwood 2 Hx 1

cup of tea

Recommended Posts

Think we deserved to get a draw out of that game. Borehamwood had the better of the first half, we didn't create any clear cut chances . What is it with us and penalties in the cup? Sam got us justice for that. Good goal for them to take the lead and Sam was in fine form to keep them out. Second half much more on the game, second goal nearly killed it off as a contest until George gave us a bit of hope near the end with a well taken free kick. Can't fault the players, massive effort from everyone. Need to pick ourselves up for Tuesday now. Disappointed with the borehamwood crowd, expected more

The first half they looked good on the ball in the middle areas but apart from the penalty and the goal they didn't look any more dangerous than us,but having got the goal we then responded well the rest of the half,a great shot by Purcell and a snap shot for knight being our best two chances,on other days both goes in.

Second half we looked the better side, you could tell they were short of confidence as they seemed happy to sit back instead of attacking the team 3 leagues below and most conference sides would of gone into all out attack mode to finish the game off,we were unlucky to go 2-0 behind and I thought if it had stayed 1-0 going into injury time we would of got the draw we deserved and even from 2-0 down we could if remarkably snatched it.

I suppose overall they may of just deserved it,but given everything taken into equation we really should be replaying them on Tuesday at the bridge and had we I really think we would of beaten them

I can't believe that 24 hours after the end of our cup run that two people have commented on the game and the cup run.

We lost to a conference national side away from home after a fantastic cup run,had we been a ryman prem club and played that many games we would of been in round one.

But for some reason no one wants to say what an achievement this cup run has been for the club,I get some are pissed off we are out,of course,no one likes losing but when we are on a losing run this board is full of knockers, well let's hold our hands up and say congratulations to the team on this run and the fact that yesterday we came close to taking a conference side to a replay because had old teryaki not scored his goal of a lifetime,I believe that is what we would of got

The atmosphere at the club this season is nothing but positive and on the coach the great interaction between the players is great to see. Now let's make noise for the boys to support them to the apex of the league

It was said at half time that nerves paid a part in our performance in the first half, giving them the upper hand, and i tend to agee with that. Came out a different team in second half. They got their second as we pushed forward searching for an equaliser. George gave us a hope with his goal and then their keeper made yet another mistake deep into injury time, pushing a cross out to his own penalty spot just past one of our players. 2 feet to the left and it would have been 2-2.

Great effort from the lads against a team that are three leagues above us.

met Police on saturday. lets go on another cup run.

A brave effort from our lads, we couldn't have done much more and I was impressed particularly with how we stayed in the game second half.

We have a side that is capable of beating anyone in our league and I don't see why we can't go on to challenge for the league title.

We had a reasonable away following, brilliantly vocally. I thought we may have a few more, at least 100, but I know some couldn't make it.

From Boreham Wood they clearly have a side full of quality and they know their pitch. Their programme is impressive.

The same can't be said for the numbers on Saturday. When you are a conference side you surely have to attract more fans than they are.

They've got a lovely new stand, but I feel they are presenting an inaccurate image there as the support would be more like what you expect in Ryman.
