Cambridge City - home 24th October

Cambridge City are unbeaten in their last three league matches (but they have all been at home)..... hopefully we don't have too many injury concerns and can get back to winning ways.

Let's also hope that with us now being mid table we can get a good attendance creating a great atmosphere tomorrow.

They've beaten Hungerford and Weymouth this season so they are no mugs. In fact if they win their games in hand they would be top 3 I think.

I think Saturday will be a good measure of where we are right now. Cambridge always seem to be a few places above us and would be one of the teams we'd be looking to overhaul if we are to improve our league position this season. Looking forward to the game.

Bakes or Unders, when does Charlie Strutton's loan end? Just wondering, as he was with us a week before the Oxford City players arrived.

Cambridge have won their last 3 games, two at home in the league and one away to Dunstable in the league cup.

I'll be disappointed if we don't get somewhere near the 300 mark tomorrow.

3-1 to Slough - one of the best organised performances with players doing what needed to be done in an organised way which ground a good Cambridge team down for us to get the result.

Don't like MoM as it singles an individual out and ignores others who worked just as hard but with out the glory - but this was one of those days when the whole team were MoM.

Would agree Rebel1965, whole team was excellent, but fair play to Adrian Sear, he was superb today and throughly deserved his MoM.

Another excellent performance and good to see Rummy back in the side and scoring as well. Been an excellent month all around and hopefully with or without any of the loan players we can build on that moving forwards.

I thought it was an excellent performance today, and a very good match to watch.

A fantastic result as well.... we have got to stop giving away late goals though, we have got away with it against Histon, Paulton and now Cambridge but will lose points at some stage if it continues (must drive any players mad who are on clean sheet bonuses!).

Good win against a good team..........have to agree with Adrian getting MOTM, for as early as half time I was saying he was nailed on to get the accolade.

Three nice goals and could easily have been more as there were times when their goal seemed to have a charmed life.

Must also comment on the great defensive covering today............if one of the boys lost it, there was another close to him to help retrieve the situation...looked that something that had genuinely been worked on in training.

Steady progress which makes the season look decidedly promising.

Really good game to watch. Free flowing and very few stoppages. I thought that Cambridge never stopped working and probably deserved their consolation goal at the end. Some great battles all over the pitch especially Mpi against their No. 4.Strong performances from Rummy,Searsy and both Charlies , but as already mentioned a real team effort.

I hope the injuries to Hicks and Hollis aren't too serious ,as  this partnership is one of the reasons why we are climbing the league.7th place sounds great , but having played more games than most is a slightly false position as it very close with the teams behind us.

Lets enjoy it while we can, and on to the next one!

End to end stuff and a great game to watch. Could easily have been 6-3 at half time but for some inspired saves from the Cambridge keeper and a fair amount of luck at both ends but predominantly for Cambridge.

Really impressive second half from us with every player playing their part with some top draw performances. If there has to be a MOTM I would give it to Searsy who was immense from start to finish.

Confidence boosting performance ahead of what looks to be really tough game at Chippenham on Tuesday.

Superb squad performance all round with high energy desire and determination to win a high quality match.

I know Scotty was unhappy letting in that late goal but he made a superb save very late in the first half which could of changed the course of the game in the favour of a very talented Cambridge team.

Now looking forward to a short trip to Chippenham.
