That is a sorry state of affairs.  You don't often hear that.

The referees secretary e-mailed all clubs concerned as to the situation - he currently has 26 officials unavailable (11 suffering long term injuries, 6 with short term injuries and a further 9 away at University) - The last time this situation arose was ten years ago so overall the SSML still remains one of the leading leagues with regards to match officials.

Edgware Town v Chesham United Res. 2nd v 3rd promises to be the game of Division One tomorrow.

The wares are also offering £2 entry to any fans that turn up wearing a football shirt. Anyone at a loose end, cheap game of football to watch.

Can't speak for anyone else, but last time I had to do it, I had to tell the referee he should send our player off for handball on the line, so definitely won't be bias.

Just seen that Biggleswade United have got over 40,000 Twitter followers, wonder how many will turn up at the game today?

 

Putting that into perspective Mk Dons have 43k Preston 41k Rotherham 31k

Biggleswade have had a huge increase in last 48 hours since their shirt sponsor, internet football game Top Eleven (500k twitter followers) did a promotion involving giving away the Biggleswade shirt. The shirt is being made sought after as Biggleswade Dircector of Sport and sky sports pundit Guilem Balague (900k twitter followers) has got stars like Messi, Maradona and Bale to pose with the shirt.

 

We will have to speak to the plumber that sponsors our shirts (85 twitter followers) to see what he can do!

Just had a terrific 4.5 hours drive searching for the game at AFC Hillgate. Followed the sat nav to their given postcode to find the ground belongs to some team from the Middlesex league. Just home so the cans are open to calm me down.
