Big J R
3G and Sussex F.A. at Lancing. Next season, 3G and Surrey F.A. at Meadowbank, Dorking. It seems to be the way forward for the F.A.

HEAVY TRUCKER
why on earth does lancing need a 3g the last time we played them you could have played snooker on it
Ian
Same with lots of clubs......revenue opportunities. I was assistant down at Bedfont Sports last week in an Allied Counties game and their pitch was fantastic, yet it's being replaced with a 3G. If you have a 3G pitch you have an asset that can earn you money for 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. Financially, it makes sense in the long run. David Carpenter
The Lancing FC website/3g pitch gives the full reasoning behind the Sussex County FA decision to spend 500K on this new pitch. Basically as Ian comments above. Lancing FC remain as tenants.

Hence, Mole Valley District Council in Surrey and the Surrey F.A. getting together at Meadowbank. I can see more and more county FA's looking for grounds where they could advance themselves. I won't go into the subject of where the gate and bar money goes as far as the 'landlords' are concerned.
