Bryco Cup - Arlesey Town 0 Hornchurch 1 AB 25 mins

It was an arduous journey up to deepest Bedfordshire for this match but thanks to an early start we got there with plenty of time to enjoy by far the best burger and chips I've tasted at an away ground for a long time.

As for the game, there was a little fog which made it a little difficult to see the far goal from the other end of the pitch and after Lloyd Opara headed against the bar during our first onslaught in the opening minutes there were one or two oohs and aaahs from the other end suggesting that Arlesey had come quite close themselves. The fog lifted though, and on 15 minutes we pressed the Arlesey defence bringing out three good but nervous saves from the keeper. However, it wasn't long before a huge cloud of fog appeared from over the stand and lowered itself on the pitch and a couple of minutes after Vinnie John gave us the lead after some good work down the left from Johnathan Heathcote, the referee called a temporary halt to proceedings. After a couple of minutes the referee came back out and called off the game as he couldn't see the fog lifting.

As the game had not reached the half-way stage, admission for the rescheduled match will be free of charge.

Line-up:- Gay, Gooding, Kerrigan, Heathcote, West, Locke, Allen, McGowan, John, Opara, Graham. Subs not used:- Rowland, Southon, Douglas, Maynard, Collier (GK)
