New ground

Outer perimeter fencing is in place, you can't see onto the pitch anymore. This will be where the turnstiles are situated. Unfortunately the builder's security fence is still up despite the ground having been "handed over" on Monday, so you can't see anything else except that the main stand structure is moving along swiftly from the last time I saw it. That may answer some of the above.

Just under 2 weeks to get it ready................

Neil so good to hear you Jon and the squad enjoyed training on the new pitch.

The day all the supporters protested outside the Council Offices all those years ago the loyalty and hard work done by Steve the football club the trust and the council in getting a new stadium has finally come to fruition.

It will be fantastic for the future of the club and town.

I was at the ground today as part of the 5-a side football tournament and it was absolutely fantastic. There is loads of space all around the ground but at the same time every viewing point is close to the pitch.

There are a few pictures on twitter going up and Horsham Rebel took a load more which he will be uploading soon for all those who weren't there today.

Buzzing about the first HOME match.

Hopefully there might be some type of covenant in place that guarantees football has to be played here but I'd rather not think about that! Purely an observation (some may call it a moan!) but the curved roofs especially on the seated stand don't appear to cover anyone sitting there that well from the elements? Maybe it's the angle the images were taken? Also I'm sure someone will explain why there's a gap on all 3 stands between the roof and back panels? Once the main stand is complete the ground really will look great.

Once Horsham rebels photos go online (which will be much better and more comprehensive) I'm fairly sure it will show the roof will cover those seated.

On the gap between the roof and the rest of the stand the only thing I could think of was allowing air to get into the stand as often on hot days it gets roasting hot in the stands. That isn't the answer just a guess.

TBH I really like the design of the stands, it's different and stands out from other run of the mill stand designs.

RR, the possibility of Rebellion mini barrels was discussed at the White Horse after Saturdays game. I think Alan & Ollie are going to look into it. The club may be able to get a better deal than the Brewery Club members, as they only get 10% discount.

Windsor Rebel, Stuntman Mark and Bernie Gogan and quite a few others will be delighted with that news CR.
