New ground

Just to confirm ARAAS, will the bar and kitchin initially be on the ground floor of the main stand or in the extension by the side of the 4 court sports hall?

Great news that we will eventually have over 500 seats.

Being a bit picky but why couldn't we have a mixture of blue and amber to make it a perfect finish?

Read the third line down, Bare in mind there is no second phase on the 4 court sports hall.

Not an issue just noticed on one image there seems to be quite a gap from the terracing to the goal line. Good to hear about the bar/kitchen for this season, Sue you'll have to wait just another season for your brick built shop (unless they find something else to put there!).

At least we don't need to worry about seating affecting promotion as we now have enough for the Conference National!

Mark, thanks but I did understand what ARAAS said.

I only asked the question because in the Council's blurb it did say that a temporary extension was to be built to accommodate the hospitality/director's area until phase 2 was built which tied in with the extension next to the sports hall.

Gaa gaa gaa- Glen requested Baby talk.  The gap between the terracing and the pitch perimeter fencing will be tarmaced. The seating colour is as chosen presumably between Morgan Sindall and the SBC development manager. Whilst it might be nice to have a mixture of amber and blue let's not forget this is a Community Stadium Faciiity. One other use will probably be for 6/7 a side football so apart from COYR matches good access around the ground is also an imperative for such an event.

Much appreciated Davo! I was more interested in the physical gap between pitch and terrace which appeared quite large but maybe it's a deceiving crafty angle. Good to hear the seats will at least be in a colour similar to what we wanted, but hopefully it will be amber and not a dark yellow! Surprised on H&S grounds we'd be able to use the ground floor of the main stand as they'll be building the rest of it during the season.

Just obliterated my post so I'll start again! The tarmac strip will be quite wide allowing good all round access which of course allows for wheelchairs etc. We were shown the seats which I can best describe as a bright mid-yellow not too dissimilar to our shirts and pleasing on the eye. The utilisation of the amenity block whilst the phase 2 was being progressed was mentioned by the Morgan Sindall Design Manager and they are currently resolving the logistics on this. Clearly there will be no work taking place during match times and they will have to produce a Safety Statement to suit. We could only view the amenity block from afar due to ongoing work. Still a lot of fitting out in progress but MS confident of due completion. We were shown examples of the sanitary ware - none in amber and blue! Dan made a comment regarding the advanced state of the pitch but of course this would be a separate specialist subcontract which I guess they are keen to clear asap. As I said on my previous post really excited by what I saw and it goes without saying that the return of the Rebels is keenly anticipated by us all. COYR!
