I see the Southern League site is saying we are ground sharing with Beaconsfield Town for 2016/7 Surely theyve been officially told our good news?

Yes I'd guess the seats will be taken out and it'll become a covered terrace. These types of stands don't take long to assemble so hopefully we'll see images of them all up in a week or so (still disappointed we're not getting proper concrete terracing with roofs but understand savings may have had to be made).

 

 

Unless you're a club awash with money, it seems this is the way stands are built these days. Less time consuming and more importantly cheaper.

No problem with that as of course it's cost effective, just from the images/designs that were made public it didn't show these type of stands that's all. Obviously plans have changed and the council have opted for a cheaper solution, that's their prerogative.

News about boardroom and bar, all good things they say

Can someone refresh my memory.

 

Once phase 2 is completed will the only bar be in the upper section and until then there will be a temporary bar in the completed lower section?

 

Also do we know yet if the club will benefit from food and drink sales?

From memory (although the plans we were shown could have changed as the stands within the ground have) there was a bar upstairs. I'm sure there must be arrangements in place to have some sort of temporary supporters bar until the main stand is complete otherwise a lot of money will be lost! Hopefully we'll be told this soon (as it must be in place/approved by the authorities) but I don't think we'd be told what revenues we'd keep.

I don't expect to be told the fine details of the revenues from the bar and food just that on match days we will benefit from the takings.

 

I think there will be some supporters who will be willing to spend a bit more knowing the club will get the benefits or conversely a bit less if we won't benefit.

With the 3G pitch already starting to be layed it's looking more impressive by the week.

It seems within a week or two the pitch and 3 stands will be complete. Good to see both end stands appear to be the whole width of the pitch, hopefully a great atmosphere can be generated in there! Wondering aside from changing rooms what else will be complete in the ground floor of the main stand? As mentioned some type of bar must be provided?
