Paulton Rovers - home 17th October

3 more points and 5 on the bounce against a very poor and ill disciplined Paulton.

Good play all over the pitch from Slough who maintained their composure against a Paulton side who moaned and bitched about every thing to every one and amongst themselves.

No surprise to see the manager go early in the first half, and even once off the pitch was still making a nuisance of himself in the stand.

Quality moment was the 7 Hollings being sent off for failing to keep his mouth shut after advise to show the ref respect and then gobbing off straight away.  The idiot then decided to take the long way off the pitch and refuse to go to the dressing room when directed by the stewards who showed great patience, even though he used abusive language at them and the crowd.

With players and managers like this you can see why they are bottom of the table and why they should be relegated.

With the assessor witnessing Paulton's gross disrespect for the officials and the host club I hope the league take action and fine them heavily.

As for the return game on 27th February, this will be one game which I will not attend so that they do not benefit from my gate money.

As for Slough - onwards and upwards.

Good first half performance saw us 2-0 up..... the second half was scrappy and it was disappointing to see us concede a penalty in added time as the final score did not then reflect the overall match.

Another three points, and we have now moved in to the top half

Excellent first half with two outstanding goals, we really should have had more. I don't know if we had one eye on Monday but the second half was a bit lackluster in comparison. Another 3 points in the bag though and we are now looking up the table instead of down.

Good first half and two very well taken goals from Charlie Mpi and Declan Benjamin. In truth we really should of scored at least a couple more to show for our good play and dominance.

Understandable given Monday's difficult game at Redditch but we really did take our foot off the gas in the second half and very nearly let the Paulton moaners get something from the game.

Lewis Putman really seems to be enjoying his football and is playing with supreme confidence and was my MOTM.

Very good performance in the first half with two excellent goals and some quality football whatever the opposition.

Second half I think there was an element of feeling that at 2-0 the game was won even though there were 45 minutes left. Our performance dropped on that basis although we still looked the better side with Sean Fraser being my man of the match..........might have been Declan Benjamin if he had finished the game.

I konow there has been some adverse criticism of the ref but I thought the way he dealt with Paulton's shenanigans in the first half and the beginning of the second half was very good, even if one or two later decisions were questionable.

Our run continues..............................

Decent first half, slightly disappointing second as we got scrappy.

Still think we were easily the better team and deserving of the three points.

Mom was Charlie as they struggled to contain him all game and his goal was quality.

Will have to try to get to Redditch to see next win!

Well it was a good run while it lasted   :doah:

I thought Charlie Mpi worked his socks of today and was Slough's best player. Adrian Sear and Sean Fraser were the other stand out players for me.

Two well taken goals by our lads, just a shame we made heavy weather of trying to put Paulton to the sword but a welcome 3 points nevertheless.

Think some of our players were off colour today, in terms of pushing on and going for Paulton's  jugular.

Let's hope they can raise their game for what looks like being a real test of our mettle at Monday night's game against the useful Redditch. If all of our boys can get up for it, it should be a cracker of a game.
