Normal high quality will resume on Tuesday night, as the non-professional one I was using on Saturday at Histon, is now being packed away again.

Well you are totally right Neil. The only real difference between the 7-1 game and yesterday was that in the 7-1 game we took pretty much all of our chances, yesterday the goalie made 4-5 good saves, and we hit the bar twice so we didn't spank them more than 2-1.

If the manager believes they should have got something out of that game and that the Histon side is good enough, I feel for the

Histon supporters as they are in for a long season.

I thought Histon played some good quick football and had a number of good young footballers in their team.

For me Slough were the better team on the day and if we had been more clinical, we could have had a healthier lead but we didn't get it all our own way and Histon worked Slough hard for the result.

I sometimes wonder if some fans are so bias that they fail to recognise what opposing teams bring to a contest.

From my point of view, both sides provided an entertaining game.

3spirit - they certainly did bring something to the game, however, as you rightly put, had we have taken our chances we would have scored a hat full again. They had 1 cleared off the line by Adrian Sear and they put 1 just wide in the 1st half. 2nd half apart from the goal they scored, I can't remember Mark Scott having a save to make (possibly 1 slight break on the far side). For their managers to say they should have got 1 if not 3 points is totally wrong. Right result on the balance of the game.

Agree SloughFlyer , Slough deserved the win on the balance of play but Histon were not outplayed by any means.

If the referee had given Histon the penalty for blatant hand ball they could have gone 1-0 up mid way through the first half and it would have been a very different game.

Declan Benjamin has brought so calm and control to our midfield, when needed he has put his foot on the ball and kept hold of it until we settle again and work our way back up the pitch. Alongside a fit Sears who has helped protect our defence we have found a very strong midfield partnership which has helped to get us into the game and allow our attack to get the ball and keep it in the opposition half and create better chances.

3 wins in a row has helped pull us clear of the relegation battle. We are now 7 points clear of relegation and up to 13th, roughly were we want to be at this stage.

Staines rebel - and if the 2 shots we hit the bar with had gone in we'd have won 4-1. If Charlie Mpi had managed to finish the 2 chances he ha din the first 5 minutes we'd have won 6-1, if they'd have got the 2 pens and scored the 1 they had cleared off the line and the one they put just wide it would have been 6-5 and if their keeper hadn't have made 3 top saves we'd have won 9-6. There are so many ifs in each game you really can't say that the game would have been different had 1 individual thing happened. Bottom line is its 3 good points, 3 wins in a row and hopefully a turn of the corner.

As for Declan Benjamin he is 1 heck of a player. At one stage the Histon players fouled him 5 times, from 5 different players and couldn't stop him. To be fair, both he and Stonehouse have been excellent additions to the squad and just what the doctor ordered at the time of refreshing the squad.

If you would like I will speak to the ref as I did after the Leamington game and get him to change his mind and award the penalties, and whilst we are at it I will jump in my time machine and get the groundsman to move the posts into a favourable position so that the shots go in rather than rebounding off.

Lots of "if's" and "but's" from the above posts, however the ref did not give and penalties and we put 2 in their net and they put 1 in ours and the game ended 1-2 and we walked away with the points - so what are you moaning about?!?!
