Wow what a result! So annoyed I missed it as I was going but a last minute issue meant I couldn't. Anyway enough of my moaning sounds like we dominated large parts of the game and played some exciting stuff. What did you anyone of you make ot the two loanees and Strutton? So two wins on the bounce has got to breed some confidence now, let's hope we extend it for a while yet, well done Rebels!

Charlie Strutton, like everyone else, really put a shift in and took his goal well.

Once he's 100% match fit he will be an even greater asset to the team.

Quality performance, wish we can play like that for the rest of the season.

I thought the work rate and pressing was impressive, and played onto our hands as they rarely hit a long ball. Great tactical decision I assume.

We did tire in the second half and the game did open up but by then the points were secure.

The new players certainly fitted in superbly, with Stonehouse being my motm until mpi got his goal. Although worth stressing the whole team were great tonight.

Looking forward to making it three in a row on Saturday.

Well I did not miss the best game so far by a country mile its all been said in the posts above.

Putts goal from the free kick was superb a certain Mr Erikson would of been pleased with that.

What quality shown by the loanees the full back was top draw.

Full credit to Bakes and Unders been a tough time for them but have made big bold and right decisions when needed.

I didn't want to be there last night. I was tired, the weather was miserable and I thought we'd lose. Wow, did they prove me wrong.

I'd argue that's our most complete team performance since we got into this division. I can't recall another game where we were so dominant and positive when in possession yet so hardworking when we weren't.

I thought our defence looked like a cohesive unit for the first time this year. Credit to Dan Hicks and Paul Stonehouse but it was a great effort from Sean and Guy too. A big difference was they were afforded some protection from the rest of the team as the midfield and forwards gave Dorchester no time at any point. Every Dorchester player was hounded as soon as they got the ball. The work rate was incredible, none more so than Charles Mpi who was magnificent.

Well done to the whole team but especially Jon and Neil. No idea what you said to them beforehand but it was like watching an entirely different team.

Great to watch last night. They just we're not expecting the pace and pressure of our play and they were unable to play with any confidence which got them rattled. The second half showed signs of how Dorchester could play but too late.

I agree that the protection given to our defence was a big differance allowing them all to play without soaking up attack after attract, after attack. Our midfield was so solid and forwards full of running.

Fantastic result and performance by all.

That's what happens when you have a midfield prepared to work and pressurize the opponents plus put the tackles in.

I thought Declan Benjamin and Adrian Sear were superb last night .Both seemed to fit well with each other's game, with the added bonus that Declan isn't afraid to dribble with the ball forward.

Having a centre midfield like that, protects the defence as well supports the forwards. What a massive difference that made to the team, from what we've been seeing.

As said previously, a brilliant team performance all round and they all deserve credit for it Such an enjoyable game to watch last night, to the dross we had to endure against Bideford.

What's the chances of keeping those Oxford players? !

Yes, certainly agree with your summary of our midfield last night with Searsy rolling back the years. No mention of the fantastic work rate from our 3 forwards?

I don't think I've seen such a collective effort and work rate over 90 minutes from our forwards for a long time exemplified by the run from Charlie Mpi for our 4th goal.

I think Oxford City have got the Spanish connection going on at the moment and once the cold weather comes they might struggle a bit, so I'd say very little chance, also could we afford to keep them full time?

Pretty much everything has been said about this match which puts a decent distance between us and the bottom four in terms of points. My man of the match was Paul Stonehouse or if this had to be a choice from permanent players then it would be Adrian Sear.

I think some loans can be extended with mutual agreement as if these loanees earn us points then we can try to keep them for longer.

The only hesitation I have is how the players they replace will react, both in the immediate and more particularly when they return to take over from the loan lads.

nyway, onwards and upwards towards mid table.

I don't mind the odd bit of dross as long as we get the 3 points   :D

3 forwards?  I thought we were playing with Strutton and Mpi up front.

Lewis Putman wasn't a forward, he was looking to go down the left channel or on an occasion to cut in.

You're right Putts was playing on the left and IMO a bit more like a wing back roll but still the defending last night started from the front.

I do. Watching any team in the land, you have to put up with watching crap/indifferent performances at sometime or the other.

Getting the 3 points is primarily the most important thing but from this football purist's point of view, you can't beat watching an enterprising exciting entertaining team.

Takes a bit of work and time to get it but it is possible.
