The result that will be of most interest to me will be the Romford v North Greenford today...... who's drawn the short straw for the Sunday scouting mission??

We're at Romford on 31st October.... they beat North Greenford 3-2

Is it going to be on the Saturday? Don't they groundshare with Thurrock, who are also at home in the next round of the Trophy?

Thurrock are at home to Chatham in the next round.

 

Looks like we might have to play Romford on the Sunday.

Yes both Romford and Thurrock are claiming they are playing their tie on 31st October so will need to be sorted The FA will allow this tie to be played on Friday 30th or Sunday 1st as well as Saturday 31st

The team in the higher league get the call for the Saturday,    If they are at the same level then the home team get the call,     Unless they give this up.

 

Normally it's played on a Sunday, which has to be ok'd by the away side, because what away team will want to travel on a work night.

We certainly don't want to give up the Saturday if given the option and Friday is a definite no go.

M25 on a Friday evening would be a horrible journey. Could turn out to be a 4hr journey there if it is really bad

Why oh why North Greenford did you have to lose! Can't say I fancy a trip half way around the M25 especially in the early rounds, but I usually change my mind nearer the game!

I would imagine the Saturday preference for the higher placed team applies to the teams that ground share.

 

In which case both Thurrock and Romford are in the same division.

If it was us we would get the call as we are the higher club (which has already happened this season)
