OD's
What we find regarding grassroots especially at youth level is funding. The FA want you to be Charter Standard but get no support once you achieve it. When you have over 60 managers and coaches, every team MUST have a Level One coach. They are £150 a time. All teams must have Emergency Aid, £25 a time. Safeguarding children, £25 a time. Welfare Officer workshops, £25 a time. Youth Modules £80 a time. The FA now want Community Clubs to have at least 2 Level Two coaches, £320 a time. On top of that, ALL managers, coaches, helpers must be DBS which also costs. We spend thousands per season on all these.
BigDogCol
Well put OD! They give with one hand and take back double with the other. Massive publicity when they generously "donate" millions to grassroots and keep VERY quiet when they rake it all back in.
Uncle T
They should pay the initial fees to get everyone up to speed and then have a rolling renewal for each club so that they do not all run out at the same time. Also the FA could fund verti draining for each pitch so that they get better each year at no cost to clubs.
