Why do some say penalties no replays? Do the clubs have to agree?

 

In the FA Vase - Clubs have the option of a replay after extra time or a penalty shoot-out on the day.

Clubs must decide this in agreement when completing the Match Arrangement Form

FA Vase competition rules are that the 1st game goes to extra time if level after 90 minutes anyway.

 

Not that a few referees haven't been caught out before, and not played it!

 

 

The reason some clubs go to penalties 1st game is that with all the extra expenses (travelling team allowances, inflated referee fees etc) these games often run at a loss and clubs don't want 2 games worth of losses.

Replays

When a first match has resulted in a draw, it shall be replayed on the ground of the Club drawn second: in the Qualifying Competition and First, Second and Third Rounds Proper – on or before the following Thursday.

 

in the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Rounds Proper – on or before the following Saturday

Is Wolverton 4-1 Hale Leys correct?

 

 

No, wrong score texted in now amended

Wrong score against Hertford Town one week, wrong score against Wolverton the next.

 

There is a pattern forming here.  :rolleyes:

Looking forward to the coach trip to Waltham.

After the shenanigans of last Saturday with Sun Sports hopefully there will still be 22 players on the pitch at full time.

City to win 3-1.
