Thought we played well for periods but didn't make the most of our chances often choosing the wrong option or taking too long. When you concede so early (as we've done too often this season) it immediately puts you on the back foot. Thought jhai was clearly our MOTM with Charlie also battling hard. Actually thought it wasn't Lewis' best match tonight - he looked a little lightweight and was constantly knocked off the ball. Also think he should win more in the air with his height. Sure mark Scott will be disappointed with the 2nd which he should certainly have done better with but that's pretty much the first error I've seen from him (albeit from not that many games). Gutted that we lost Nathan so early (to a very cynical tackle btw) as I do believe he and Adam Martin are our best midfield pairing. Don't think it will come as a surprise to anyone that I don't feel we've seen the best of Jamie mcclurg since the promotion. I know he's had some injuries but really think he's struggled at times with the step up. Having said all that, honestly believe if we can perform like last night on Saturday and cut out the errors we can get something. Gutted I can't make it but let's make some noise and turn this patch around!!!

On Lewis Puttman, the goals aren't coming at the moment but his effort and work-rate are exemplary and eventually the goals will come. Winning the ball in the air is not his game as he admits himself.

I'm a big fan of Lewis Putman as a goal poacher/main striker but like Radders said, ' last night he was lightweight ' in matching the defenders headers and the opposition got the ball far too easily against him.

We both know his natural game isn't being Charlie Mpi in the air but against a good Redditch side we needed him to be stronger than he was.

If we are going to turn this bad corner, we are going to need a lot of character and commitment from the whole team.

To be fair to Lewis, when he get's the ball at his feet he's a far better player but last night he mostly drifted wide left when he got it. Credit has to go to Redditch's defence, in this regard, too, unfortunately.

Currently 'Putts' is playing well on the left wing but doesn't seem as confident in front of goal, to what he was pre-season. Obviously, the time out for his honeymoon hasn't helped with this and also he and Charlie Mpi need to build up an understanding.

So I don't want to be too critical of him, as I still believe he can be one of our first names on the team sheet.

At least he was getting better support from midfield when he got to put his crosses in the box as opposed to the first half of saturdays game where they were still rooted on the half way line.

Actually now concerned that we could be in Southern Div 1 next season...

Sorry for the "negative" post and I don`t blame the managers in the slightest. Just think we have been extremely unlucky with injuries and I could name 2 or 3 players who really seem to have let the managers down!

Attendance only 250 so quite a few absentees unfortunately including our midfield much of the time.........agree with earlier comments regarding commitment but also felt that players did not know their jobs for large sections of the game and we fans were trying to work out the tactics that they had been asked to work.

Actually tempting to break my own forum rules and indict individuals but still resist that , and would say that young Jhai Dhillon was the bright aspect , hardly putting a foot wrong all evening. Charlie continued to win balls in the air but sadly he was doing so out on the wing rather than in the penalty box where he can do things to actually affect the result and I am tending to feel the same as others in that Putts needs to be stronger against opponents.............he is a player that has to learn that the higher level you play at, the more you are expected to do.

It could well be that this level is a step too far for some of the group as the games are physically tougher as well as showing levels of skill from opponents that we didnt see at our previous league and it could well be that the struggle will go on until all come to terms with Step 4 situations.

Still fancy us to get a result on Saturday, but in the league there is fast becoming a need for solutions rather than "if only this, that or the other "

didn't think we played that bad, though i do think that we looked a bit light down the left, and our mid field were a bit slow and need a lot more commitment at times, some of the tactics from some of the redditch players were a bit questionable to say the least, particularly the n/o 7 going down as though he had been shot by a sniper then jumping up and taking the ball as it went past him very ungentlemanly and rr let him know that. ;)

Just to confirm my comments were in response to the post from Marcus but I did so just to provide some info on the injuries.

My comment about excuses was not aimed at him though and was more of a general comment from a manager in a bad mood at 6.30am the morning after a defeat...probably not the best time for me to post on here to be honest!
