Enfield Town preview

Wingate & Finchley face an away trip to local rivals Enfield Town on Monday night. The Blues have begun the season very well and sit in 4th place, 3 points off the top with a game in hand whilst their hosts, Enfield, sit just above the relegation zone in 20th place.

Enfield haven't had the season they'd have hoped for with only four wins so far this season, two of these coming in their last two games. Bobby Devyne has three goals to his name and will be looking to increase his tally on Monday.

On the other hand, the Blues are flying and have only lost one game all season, drawing two. Billy Healey has six goals to his name in all competitions, whilst Rob Laney has netted four times so far. Bobby Smith returned after an injury during Wingate's 0-0 draw with Leatherhead at the weekend and will be looking for another clean sheet, with he and Jack Metcalfe keeping five between them this season.

Wingate did the double over Enfield last season with a 3-2 away win earlier in the season and a 1-0 home win on New Year's Day thanks to Scott Shulton's volley. Rob Laney scored his first away goal in the 3-2, with Karl Oliyide and James Kaloczi scoring the other two.

Monday night's game will be a tough fought battle with the Blues looking to get back to winning ways and climbing up the table, whilst a derby win could do wonders for Enfield's confidence.
