The officials seemed unsure. Our normal match secretary was sick. The officials googled the SSML handbook which apparently still says extra time then pens. The match secretaries shook hands to agree to that.

I think the result will stand. It was a great night with an electric atmosphere and the best support I have ever seen for a mid week game. We don't have a reserve team so we have been playing friendlies to give squad players a chance......personally if we had to replay it I would just see it as another opportunity to give some guys minutes so am completely relaxed either way.

The officials obviously googled last year's handbook - which is still available - as the 2015/6 handbook, which is accessed via the SSMFL's Full-Time website says 'straight to penalties'.

I think common sense will prevail and the game will either be replayed in full, or the penalty shoot out will take place. Doesn't really matter what the secretary's agreed to, rules are rules.

Hale Leys look like they were very unlucky..

I'll be more than happy to have a re-run and they did fantastically well after a long trip from Bucks.

Great game, great atmospshere and buzz around the 90 attendance on a Tuesday night.

Bring it on!

Thanks also to The Cold End for another brill video.

Maybe he should cover Sun Sports TV now that they've gone off-air . . .

Replay at a neutral ground at a date TBC. Pathetic!

The SSML screwed up here by providing officials who didn't know the rules of the competition so why do we have to replay at a neutral ground and give gate money to some other club?

The fans had better get in for free at whichever ground they decide given that the league is "covering all costs".
