v Bedworth

strange that the system that got us promoted seems to have been abandoned because no one else in the upper echelons of this division uses it. i think it may be just the thing to give us an advantage, lets do what has served us well in the past, or at least try it, in any case i think we look a little lopsided going forward and in defence definetly need some one on the left imo. to give us more width

Even with this style of play we are going with at the moment that we all loathe still doesn.t hide the fact that we should still of scored at least 6 goals over the last two games

Lost the game in the 1st ten minutes - really poor defending, reminded me of last season. We were probably the best team after that but we lacked the final ball/finishing touch. Perhaps a reminder that we are in amongst the relegation battle.

Gutted Ryan is leaving. I voted him player of the year last year but  I think he's been poor this season so far. I hope we've got someone lined up with a left foot COYR!

Don't agree, distinct difference between the interviews, Jon sounds sincere, Neil always sounds like excuses to me. Either way, results not good enough, favourites who shouldn't be in the team and a shape that's totally wrong, all can see that surely, or are the happy brigade not willing to see it! Blinkered.. Admit mistake and get Henry back! Or get a better player in before it's too late.

RD, I haven't seen any evidence to back up your statement of 'the style of play we all loathe', apart from your own opinion and a few others which your all entitled to have.

Apart from 'results not good enough' I really don't agree with what you're saying.

Who are these favourites who shouldn't be in the team? and if, as in your opinion there are any favourites in the team, what would you consider as your alternatives in the starting 11?

I think Bakes and Unders have undoubtedly proven with the decisions that they have made in the past that they don't have any favourites.

If you think the shape is totally wrong, what shape would you consider to be right?

Personally I think letting Chris Henry go was the right decision. Yes he was quite exiting going forward but was next to no use going in the opposite direction. You've only got to look at Jake Parsons, exciting on the ball but also puts in a shift when he hasn't got the ball. Given a choice between the two I know what player I'd want in my team.

Favourites.... Warren Harris - is he the player he was, since then we have gone up a league and he has been out a year. Absolute reliance on him. Not being harsh as he is a good player but is he doing it consistently to be left in week after week? Foulser, why did we persist with getting him back agn you can look back at all the posts saying when he is back etc.... Mclurg, Sears and Martin all much of a muchness, where is the creation? Similarly where is the creation in shape? 1 time I recall us trying something 352 we win at Margate last year, I know we player that again and lost... Not saying 352 is the answer, although it would sort our creation out centrally if we have the 2 sitters in cm and play jake or even warren in there with some freedom! Instead stick with wingers that (parsons aside) are not doing it!

Eddie smith as well, not a favourite? Who is the fall guy who keeps getting pushed wide? Natural goalscorer and they push him wide? Madness.

Putman if anyone is wondering.

Heard on an interview last week then wouldn't bring on putts for Eddie because Charlie and putts are too similar, excuses! Far easier to not have to leave both Charlie and Scott Harris out.

I'm not saying anything that surely even the happy clappers can't agree with it at least most of it? We can pretend it's rosy and the managers will get it right, I'm sure they will, since the turn of this year how many points have we got? The answer will be.... Well can't compare across 2 seasons, ok just this season then... We are in a dogfight and have we got a side who look like they want to be in a dogfight? Not so sure.

Not sure what interview you heard there Sloughboy as 100% neither of us have ever said that Putts and Charlie are similar players, as they are far from it.. I think you will find we said Eddie and Putts are similar players, Dorking Wanderers we bought on Putts on for Eddie for that exact reason as he was the natural replacement.

Eddie was in the side due to his and Charlies excellent performance against Cirencester when the two of them worked their socks off, which left putts and Hatchett on the bench, and who had in the two weeks prior both gone away to get married and for holiday, and then not taken their chance in the Burnham game.

Once Jake Parsons is fit that should hopefully solve left sided player problem.

Don't agree there, Reading Rebel. Jake Parsons is a stop gap as a left winger. He is a predominantly a right winger. Jake is one of my favourites when on song but while he can play occasionally on the left,to put him regularly on the left is a waste and not the answer to our left side woes.

Changing the subject, while no Slough fan will be happy losing to Bedworth, what's all this animosity to our managers?

I think some of the players need to look at their own performances and wonder, are they putting enough in?

Yeah I think the result yesterday had little to do with our shape, the team that was picked or the fact Chris Henry wasn't out there. Defensive errors in the first ten minutes gave them a two goal start and our inability to put our chances away or deliver a final ball meant we were unable to claw back that deficit. Our overall play wasn't too bad. I wonder if we took a while to adjust to the surface as well?
