v Bedworth

We started the game half asleep and Bedworth took full advantage of some really poor defending.

We had enough chances to get back into the game but a combination of poor finishing and poor defending has given a team, who IMO will probably be relegated, all 3 points.

I think the area that we are really suffering at the moment is in central midfield.

We just seem lack any real creativity, either give the ball away far too easily and are often second to a lot of balls against players who are just a bit quicker than us.

IMO the only players to come out of today's game with any credit was Mark Scott, Nathan Webb and Lewis Putman.

Missed the first 18 minutes due to traffic, so can't comment on being 2-0 down, but from what I did see, Bedworth looked likely relegation contenders.

Our previous tendency to play better away from home may well now be a thing of the past. Half time was interesting in that the team was sent back out after barely 5 minutes. From that I suspect that our managers were not too impressed either. Agree our midfield needs working on, as does our wide play.

Tuesday is another day, lets hope our home form improves as much as the away performances have faltered.

Frustrating.

We had more than enough of the ball after 10 minutes of madness to get something out of the game, but we really struggled to work the keeper, with pretty much every shot going straight at him instead of making him stretch.

Unfortunately we seemed to struggle with the decision making when we got in and around the box, partly because we seemed to struggle to get people into the box when the ball went forward, and also because it seems that our strikers end up with the ball in the crossing position, meaning that they have to wait for everyone else to catch up (when it should really be them that gets into the middle in my opinion).  Agreed we seemed to lose it a lot in midfield too.

Plenty to work on, but a promising start from Dan Hicks, certainly not in the position we would have been expecting, a very well taken goal and he put himself around a bit and won the ball well several times in the air.
